The SLS Band and Elementary Chorus will present their spring concert Thursday, May 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the SLS Cafeteria. Admission for all non-performers will be $5 per person. All children under school age will be admitted free. Come out and support our award-winning program!

Teachers – Please remind students to bring items for donations. We are trying to get to
100 items in celebration of our 100 days of school. Items needed are: personal hygiene items, socks, new or gently used coats and clothes, canned goods, etc.
Items will be sent to the Matt Miller Food Pantry. Due to bad weather, we have
extended the deadline through this week.
Cold and flu season is here! Please disinfect surfaces, wash hands, and cover
coughs.
Students may not go in the “out” doors in the lunch line. If lunch ladies ask you to go
around to the “in” doors, do it! If your name is turned in to the office,
expect discipline.

Softball is selling Amish bread. Deadline to order is Friday, February 7. If you are

by February 7 in order to try out. Tryouts have been moved to Saturday,
February 15. Girls in 6-7th grade will tryout at 1:30 and 8th-above tryouts will be at 3:00.
You must have an up to date physical prior to trying out.

In honor of our 100 days of school, we would like to collect 100 items to donate to help our local community through Propst Memorial United Methodist Church Food Pantry. Please bring items and place in box outside the office. Several items are needed. Some suggestions are baby clothes, socks, personal hygiene items, canned goods, blankets, coats, etc.
We will have an animal show on Wednesday, January 29. Admission is $3.
Spelling Bee for grades 3-8 will be January 30 at 8:30. Packets can be picked up in the office.
Spirit tees are on sale for $45. They are crimson red with white writing. They are the spirit tee name brand. The money and order form must be turned in by January 31. No extras will be ordered.
Any junior or senior that has not paid prom dues should turn in to Mrs. McManus by January 31. Dues are $115.
Any 10th, 11th, or 12th grader interested in TORCH Academic Competition at Bevill should sign up with Mrs. Moss. You must have an overall B average to participate. The competition is

Sign up for junior high and varsity cheerleader on HS library door. Sign-ups are now through Friday.
The state requires scoliosis screening for grades 5-9 each year. We plan to do
screenings on January 22. Everyone must be checked unless you have a form from
your doctor prior to January 22. If you are absent, you will be checked another
day.
